What is the 护理团队?
的 Coordinated Assistance & Resource Education Team (护理团队) receives and responds to referrals from the campus community about students of concern. 的 护理团队 connects students with on- and off-campus resources, consults with 教师 and 工作人员 about how to respond to various concerns, and facilitates formal and informal outreach and check ins. Services and resources are available for students who refer themselves or those who are referred to the Office of the Dean of 学生 by others.
Who is a Student of Concern?
护理团队 referrals encompass a broad range of concerns, many of which are often independent of any 行为 concern about a student and/or indicate a lower-level concern that does not typically warrant an urgent intervention. Examples of non-行为 referrals include the loss of a loved one, unusual financial difficulties, food or housing insecurity, feeling overwhelmed with the transition to college life, relationship and family concerns, short- or long-term illness or injury, and challenges getting involved and connected.
Other 护理团队 referrals involve specific 行为 concerns, such as thoughts of suicide, severe emotional distress, disruptive behavior, drastic changes in mood, 外观, 或行为, or threats to the safety of the student or the campus community. How Do I Make a Referral?
To refer a student for 护理团队 outreach, please use the Office of the Dean of 学生 online referral form. 护理团队 referrals can be submitted by a student, 家长/监护人, 教师, 工作人员, 管理员, or anyone looking to assist a student or request extra support?
Will My Referral be Confidential?
All 护理团队 outreach will be conducted with privacy and sensitivity. 有时, information may need to be shared with campus partners outside the Office of the Dean of 学生; however, such information sharing will be done with extreme discretion.
What Support is Available?
We are here to help students overcome barriers to their success and to promote a healthy and safe campus community. Upon receipt of your referral, the Office of the Dean of 学生 may coordinate outreach to the student to offer support and determine appropriate resources. This support may come in the form of a wellness check, non-academic advising and coaching, referrals to on- and/or off-campus resources, assistance with access to services, or consultation with the reporting party to help you support the student.
